“Journalism largely consists of saying 'Lord Jones is Dead' to people who never knew that Lord Jones was alive.”
– G. K. Chesterton
Boil this down to its bare bones and it’s perfectly true. The object of journalism is to tell people what they don’t know. Curiosity is one of the most powerful forces on Earth and carefully crafted journalism is a sure-fire way to pique and satisfy it.
If you need to raise awareness of anything at all – be it a product, a company, a service or a project – some slick, informative writing is definitely a good way to go. It might be a press release, an online article, a newspaper advertorial or an internal bulletin… if you need to tell your audience something they don’t already know, I’m happy to put this communication together for you.
There are many journalistic styles and I can adapt the tone as required. I’ll write subjectively (first-person), objectively (third-person), formally, humorously or anonymously (I used to be a ghostwriter for a TV presenter). You name it and I’ll write it the way you want it.
I’ve been published independently in different UK newspapers and magazines. Take a look at the print articles below to see some examples. If you want me to write online, I can create hyperlinks and format your text for the web using HTML.
